Capital Equipment General Manager

Responsible for the overall operation of the Houston Facility. Oversee Engineering, Production, Sales and Administrative duties to ensure that they function properly. Communicate financial information, budget projections, and etc. between the Houston Facility and Saginaw, Michigan location. Responsible for the physical building, and the security of the facility. Effectively staff all positions throughout the Houston Facility. Ongoing review of manufacturing and supporting effort to assure that B&P meets scheduling, cost and quality commitments to our customers. Meets with customers and / or customer's representatives, both in person and on the telephone, regarding delivery, quotation and quality related issues. Requirements

Field Service Advisor
B&P Process Equipment is a leader in capital equipment for the chemical processing and plastics industries. We are now accepting resumes for Field Service Advisor for our Saginaw Facility. Candidates must have knowledge in mechanical and electronics troubleshooting, repairing of machinery, some PLC based controls knowledge is helpful, ability to read blueprints and machine process knowledge.
Requirements:
- The qualified candidate will have at least five years experience and a trade school or college degree is preferred.
- Interested candidates must have experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and some electrical. A strong ability to troubleshooting and repair process equipment.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in both a verbal and written manner to promote B&P as a producer of quality products and services.
- The candidate must be capable of 80%+ worldwide travel. The service calls may vary in duration from one (1) day minimum to six (6) weeks maximum.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Physical work conditions require walking and standing for extended periods of time, along with frequent bending/twisting, reaching, and repetitive arm, and hand/finger movements.
- Must posses a high level of blueprint reading experience in the areas of mechanical detail/assemblies, hydraulic layouts, with some electrical ladder logic/diagrams and experience with AC/DC drives and PLC being a plus.
- Good mathematical background for working with close tolerance parts, inspection instruments and optics.
- Candidate must have Journeyman mechanic status or equivalent in experience/training.

Job description:
This position is responsible for providing supervision to hourly employees involved in all facets of repair shop activities. Responsible for assisting the General Manager as required; assuring that all procedures are followed correctly and projects are handled efficiently.
Required skills & qualifications:
- Provide engineering support between the Saginaw, Michigan and Houston, Texas facilities for all projects.
- Assure all parts, modifications and engineering changes are implemented into shop jobs.
- Communicate to customers regarding all changes in design, upgrades and modifications.
- Responsible for meeting company quoted time frames and cost estimates.
- Implement and oversee all necessary training requirements for shop floor personnel.
- Implement and oversee all safety requirements.
- Offer customer support regarding all jobs in-house.
- Implement continuous improvement and shop productivity.
- Motivate personnel and create a positive work environment.
- Provide sales support as required to help meet Houston Service Center budget requirements.
- Responsible for inputting and updating all required information into the Visual System for all jobs at the Houston Service Center.
- Communicate with customers, management and sales personnel to assure the correctness of the job, ontime deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or 4-6 years of experience with a manufacturing background.
- Supervisory experience in a related field.
- Advanced mechanical drawing and blueprint reading skills.
- Strong mechanical background.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- Strong Computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present training
- General knowledge of rotating equipment, centrifugal, gearbox, or pump experience.
