Since the introduction of the Ko-Kneader in the 1950's, B&P has
supplied fully automated systems - including coke pre-heaters, carbon paste mixers, and
paste cooler systems. These systems operate worldwide, producing quality Soderberg or
pre-bake carbon paste in Europe, the Middle East, Australia, North America and China.

operational ease. The kneaders just keep on mixing keeping your supply of carbon
paste and your whole operation up and running. B&Ps CK-Series Continuous
Kneaders commonly operate for 30 or 40 years continuously and with only minor
maintenance.
A consumption ratio of less than 400 kg of pre-baked carbon anode per metric ton of
aluminum produced is reported by customers using B&Ps 500mm CK-Series Continuous
Kneader. The results, reported for aluminum production in both 220 KA and 350 KA pot
operations, are considered to be among the best ratios ever achieved using a Continuous
Carbon Paste Kneader.
